- We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for diverse construction projects including commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, and industrial sectors. Perform detailed analysis of project designs and specifications to identify potential cost risks and opportunities. Prepare and submit competitive project bids, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered. Manage contracts, including negotiation and finalization of terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements. Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules. Conduct pre-construction evaluations, including site assessments and analysis of construction methods and materials. Utilize industry software for project estimation, cost management, and takeoff. Regularly liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations.Qualifications:
Must have strong background in commercial estimating. Must have strong background in negotiations, bidding and takeoffs. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record in commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, and industrial sectors. Must be strong using Excel. Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and the latest industry trends. Demonstrated experience in project management, contract negotiation, and budgeting. Excellent negotiation skills with a keen ability to manage and mitigate cost risks. Proficient in using industry-standard software for cost estimation, project planning, and takeoff. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to work. A team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.A bit about us:
