Job Description

Franklin Precision Castings is an investment casting foundry specializing in the production of high-quality precision castings for demanding industrial and defense applications. Our team is committed to safety, quality, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for customer inquiries and new business opportunities. This position works closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other departments to develop competitive and accurate pricing for our precision castings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and requirements. Prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotations. Determine material, labor, tooling, processing, and outside service costs. Obtain pricing and technical information from internal departments and suppliers. Maintain estimating records and pricing information. Assist Sales with pricing questions and quotation follow-up. Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn company ERP/software systems. CAD (computer-aided design) software is a plus but not required. Previous estimating, sales support, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in investment casting or foundry operations is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily office-based work with extended periods of sitting and computer use. Frequent keyboarding, mouse use, reading, and computer monitor viewing. Ability to periodically stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office and foundry. May occasionally lift or carry materials or documents weighing up to 25 pounds. Maintain proper posture and utilize ergonomic workstation practices.

$22.00-$28.00 / per hour, based on experience and qualifications
