Pittsburgh, PA Job Details Full-time $50,000 - $70,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Multitasking Basic math Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Estimator to join our commercial electrical construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electrical field experience, construction knowledge, or estimating exposure who is looking to grow into a full-time electrical estimating role. Training and support will be provided, but candidates should have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be comfortable working with plans, specifications, and computer-based estimating tools. Responsibilities Assist with estimating commercial electrical construction projects. Review electrical drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents. Perform material counts, measurements, and takeoffs. Assist with electronic takeoffs using LiveCount . Assist with estimate development in Trimble Accubid . Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors. Organize quotes, bid documents, and estimating files. Assist with labor and material pricing. Help identify project scope, exclusions, and clarifications. Support senior estimators with bid preparation and proposal development. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required. Assist with change-order pricing and project turnover. Qualifications Basic knowledge of commercial electrical construction. Ability to read, or willingness to learn to read, electrical drawings and specifications. Strong computer skills and willingness to learn estimating software. Experience with Accubid and/or LiveCount is preferred but not required. Electrical field experience is a plus. Strong math, organizational, and analytical skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced estimators and project managers while developing the skills necessary to advance into a senior estimating role. Qualified candidates should submit a resume outlining their electrical, construction, or estimating experience.
