Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for commercial flooring projects, preparing competitive bids, and following up to refine bids and convert bids into awarded projects. You will help ensure our projects are profitable, on schedule, and meet client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial construction projects, utilizing your technical skills and industry knowledge to drive success. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and material requirements. Utilize MeasureSquares estimating software and Quickbooks Online to prepare estimates Analyze material costs, labor requirements, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes to develop accurate project budgets. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to negotiate pricing and clarify project details. Manage multiple projects simultaneously by tracking bid deadlines, updating estimates, and ensuring timely submission of proposals. Conduct site visits as needed to assess existing conditions and gather information necessary for precise cost estimation. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures when needed. Skills Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms. Experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Proficiency in MeasureSquare is preferred but not required - willingness and ability to learn new software tools is more important. This role will be eligible for performance-based commission in addition to base salary.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
