Security Fence Company - Red Lion, PA Security Fence Company, a trusted name in the fencing industry for more than 54 years, is seeking a Wholesale Estimator to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting our wholesale customers from initial inquiry through production. The Wholesale Estimator prepares accurate material quotes, works directly with customers to understand their project needs (by phone, email, & face-to-face), creates shop drawings and production information, and coordinates closely with our internal teams to help ensure orders are accurate, complete, and ready when promised. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare accurate and timely material estimates and quotes for fence dealers, contractors, and other wholesale customers. Review project drawings, specifications, measurements, and customer requests to determine material requirements and prepare complete proposals. Work directly with customers to clarify project requirements, recommend appropriate products, and answer questions regarding materials, pricing, and availability. Create and provide shop drawings for customers and production personnel. Prepare gate cut lists, production tags, and other information needed by production personnel to accurately manufacture customer orders. Review quotes and orders for accuracy and completeness before they move into production or fulfillment. Maintain organized records of quotes, revisions, drawings, orders, and customer communications. Coordinate with production, warehouse, purchasing, and other departments regarding material availability, special-order items, lead times, and customer requirements. Follow up on outstanding quotes and customer opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers by providing responsive, knowledgeable, and professional service. Assist walk-in customers and provide assistance to applicants, vendors, and delivery drivers as needed. Provide backup support to warehouse operations when warehouse personnel are unavailable, including pulling customer orders and assisting with loading and unloading trucks. Assist with other responsibilities as needed to support the Wholesale Division and overall company operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is someone who combines accuracy, customer service, organization, and practical problem-solving. Fence industry experience is helpful, but we are also interested in candidates with estimating, construction supply, building materials, manufacturing, or similar experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

Previous estimating, construction supply, building materials, or fence industry experience (3-4 years). Smaller company. Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, specifications, and material requirements (2-3 years) Strong mathematical and measurement skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple quotes, orders, deadlines, and customer requests simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working directly with contractors, dealers, vendors, and walk-in customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn estimating and business software. Ability to work effectively with office, production, and warehouse personnel. Willingness to step in and help wherever needed. Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to follow projects through to completion. Fence product knowledge, including chain link, aluminum, gates, and related hardware, is a plus.
