Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our welding and metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, estimating, shop math, and technical drawings, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with engineering and production teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who can accurately estimate welding and sheet metal projects and help ensure they are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze CAD/SolidWorks files, drawings, and technical specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for welding and sheet metal fabrication projects.

Review project scope, materials, labor requirements, production processes, and lead times.

Prepare detailed proposals and client quotes, including labor, materials, overhead, and expected lead times.

Collaborate with engineering, project managers, and lead welders to ensure project scope and production requirements are accurately reflected in estimates.

Work with project managers and lead welders to troubleshoot, review, and refine estimates within the Job
BOSS ERP
system.

Support project planning and scheduling to promote timely and cost-effective project execution.

Manage multiple estimating projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Maintain accurate project and estimating documentation.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating and/or project management within a welding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of shop math, measurement systems, and layout techniques.

Ability to read and interpret CAD and SolidWorks drawings; experience manipulating drawings is preferred.

Strong knowledge of welding and sheet metal fabrication processes.

Experience working with ERP systems, particularly JobBOSS, is highly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Self-driven, dependable, and capable of working independently.

Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
