Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and supporting the preconstruction process from bid to award.

Key Responsibilities:

Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, clearing, and related scopes Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals Work closely with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate pricing Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options Assist with bid submissions and post-bid follow-up

Qualifications:

Experience in construction estimating (civil/site work preferred) Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Proficient in estimating software and Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Preferred (but not required): Experience with heavy civil, renewable energy, or site development projects Familiarity with takeoff software (Agtek, Bluebeam, etc.)
