This role is designed for a professional who understands that a successful project starts with a precise estimate and stays profitable through meticulous management. You will be responsible for high-volume commercial takeoffs and, when not bidding, will serve as a key operational partner managing purchasing and project financials.

Core Responsibilities:

Estimating:

Perform comprehensive digital takeoffs for metal stud framing and drywall assemblies.

Software:

Must be proficient in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or PlanSwift.

Purchasing Management:

Oversee material procurement, track lead times, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the field stays productive.

Financial Support:

Review and verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and project progress.

Bid Management:

Review blueprints/specs, identify RFI needs, and prepare formal proposals for commercial, hotel, and affordable housing projects.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in commercial drywall estimating.

Tech Skills:

Expert proficiency in OST or PlanSwift. Comfort using smartphones/tablets for project tracking.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of commercial construction sequences, metal stud gauges, and drywall finishing levels.

Location:

Daily commute to our Mount Vernon office is required (No remote work).

Communication:

Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, project managers, and clients. Why ACE?
