They are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their New Jersey team. This position is ideal for an estimator who understands scaffold and access systems, can independently perform site walks, review construction documents, develop accurate estimates, and support projects throughout the New York and New Jersey markets. This is a hybrid position combining office, field, and customer site responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for commercial and industrial construction projects. Review construction drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to develop accurate scopes of work. Perform project site visits throughout New York and New Jersey to evaluate site conditions, identify access requirements, and gather estimating information. Develop estimates for scaffolding, temporary access systems, suspended scaffolding, shoring, forming, specialty contracting services, and related construction support solutions. Collaborate with operations, engineering, sales, project management, and field personnel to develop practical and competitive project solutions. Manage estimate revisions, change orders, scope modifications, and customer requests throughout the bidding process. Identify pricing risks, constructability concerns, and scope gaps prior to project award. Utilize Bluebeam, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and construction estimating software to prepare, organize, and manage project estimates. Support projects ranging from small service work and maintenance projects to large commercial and industrial construction opportunities. Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, project managers, and customers. Support estimating efforts while maintaining schedule accuracy, project profitability, and customer responsiveness.
Qualifications:
3+ years of construction estimating experience. Experience estimating scaffolding, access systems, suspended scaffolding, shoring, forming, industrial services, specialty contracting, or closely related construction scopes. Experience supporting commercial or industrial construction projects. Ability to independently perform site walks and evaluate project conditions. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project plans. Experience developing project estimates, managing estimate revisions, and supporting change orders. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction estimating software. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, project managers, field personnel, engineers, and customers. Knowledge of the New York and New Jersey commercial construction market. Ability to travel to project sites throughout New York and New Jersey.
Compensation:
Base salary in the 115k
