Our powerful, construction-trained AI analyzes blueprints and produces detailed takeoffs and material lists in a fraction of the time required by traditional methods. We pair that technology with an experienced construction team that applies its knowledge to each project, refines the results, and ensures the finished work is ready for our customers. We serve builders, contractors, and suppliers who need accurate material information without spending hours working through plans themselves. Speed matters to our customers, and so does having knowledgeable people behind every takeoff. About the position We're looking for a Construction Estimator who knows how to turn plans into accurate material quantities across all trades. Our software completes the majority of the initial takeoff, giving you more time to focus on the work that requires an estimator's expertise: interpreting details, assessing material selections, resolving discrepancies, and making sound decisions when the plans are unclear. You'll work as part of our remote construction team and take ownership of assigned projects through review and final quality assurance. This position estimates materials and quantities ; it does not involve cost estimating, labor pricing, or bid preparation. What you'll do Interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and details to understand the full material scope of each project. Use our AI platform to review and refine material takeoffs across all trades. Apply your estimating knowledge to confirm materials, measurements, assemblies, and quantities against the plans. Identify items that need to be added, adjusted, or clarified before a takeoff is completed. Work confidently with framing details, including ceiling joists, floor joists, and related components. Recognize Simpson Strong-Tie hardware and other specified connectors. Investigate conflicting information between plan sheets and raise clear questions when details are missing. Document your decisions and communicate with teammates so projects move efficiently through review and final quality assurance. Manage your workload and meet turnaround expectations without sacrificing accuracy. Share practical feedback that helps us improve both our process and our software. What we're looking for At least 3 years of construction estimating or material takeoff experience . Strong ability to read and interpret a complete set of construction plans. Experience estimating material quantities across multiple trades. Familiarity with Simpson Strong-Tie hardware, ceiling joists, and floor joists. Sound construction judgment and the ability to work through details that require more than a measurement from a drawing. Confidence using technology and learning a new software platform. Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication. Comfort working independently from home while staying connected with a remote team.
