Estimator - Wet Utilities FloTX Utilities Hutto, TX (Serving Central Texas - Austin, San Antonio, Surrounding Areas) Position Summary FloTX Utilities is seeking a high-performing Estimator to lead pricing and bid development for wet utility construction projects, including water, wastewater, and storm drainage systems. This role is critical to the company's growth and will be responsible for accurate quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, risk identification, and competitive bid strategy. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications Develop accurate unit pricing based on labor, equipment, and materials Build complete estimates using production-based methods Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes Prepare bid proposals, scopes, and clarifications Review plans for scope gaps and constructability issues Maintain historical cost data and support bid strategy Identify risks such as rock, groundwater, and utility conflicts Coordinate with Project Managers and field teams

Qualifications Required:

3+ years of estimating experience in civil or wet utility construction Strong understanding of water, sewer, and storm systems Ability to read civil plans and specifications Proficiency in Excel and estimating software

Preferred:
