KIELY FAMILY OF COMPANIES
seeks an Electrical Estimator to develop accurate, competitive estimates for construction projects. In this hybrid role, you'll analyze drawings and specs, perform detailed takeoffs, solicit vendor quotes, and prepare bid proposals using modern digital tools. You'll collaborate closely with project managers and engineers, contributing to innovative, tech-forward solutions in a supportive, inclusive culture. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for construction projects using digital tools and estimating software. Review drawings, specs, and addenda to perform accurate material and labor takeoffs. Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to support competitive bids. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations to refine scopes and budgets. Develop complete bid packages, cost breakdowns, and value engineering options. Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarify technical and scope-related questions. Maintain and update pricing databases, production rates, and historical cost records. Support handoff to project teams and track estimate performance versus actuals. Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools. Collaborate cross-functionally in an innovative, inclusive environment aligned with company culture. Required Skills Electrical estimating Construction cost analysis Reading blueprints and schematics Takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift) Estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble),MS Excel and data analysis Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes Bid preparation and proposal writing Vendor and subcontractor quoting Project budgeting and forecasting Risk assessment and value engineering
