Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This pivotal role combines the technical expertise of electrical estimating with the leadership skills of project management, driving successful project execution from initial bid to completion. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project timelines, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring all electrical work aligns with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Review project plans, specifications, and contracts thoroughly to identify scope of work and potential risks. Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and within-budget completion of electrical installations. Oversee on-site activities, collaborating with construction teams to coordinate electrical work seamlessly within overall project timelines. Monitor project progress, perform cost control analyses, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain financial targets. Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), safety standards, and contractual obligations throughout all phases of the project. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in electrical systems and installations. Extensive knowledge of construction management principles, including project planning, scheduling, and cost control. Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam for document review and markup. Demonstrated ability in negotiation and contract management within the construction sector. Hands-on electrical experience coupled with construction site management experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in using HeavyBid or similar estimating software; knowledge of NEC codes essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
