About Advanced Window, Inc. Advanced Window, Inc. specializes in commercial window and building envelope solutions, including storefront, curtain wall, window systems, and metal panels. We are looking for an experienced glazing professional who understands the estimating process and can help us pursue projects accurately and competitively. Advanced Window, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Glass & Glazing Estimator to join our team. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. We are specifically looking for someone with experience estimating commercial glass and glazing projects, including storefront, curtain wall, window systems, and related building envelope scopes. What You'll Do Review architectural drawings, specifications, bid documents, and addenda to determine project scope and requirements. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial glass and glazing projects. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for storefront, curtain wall, window systems, metal panels, and related building envelope scopes. Solicit and evaluate pricing from glass, aluminum, window, and other material suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors. Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and analyze responses for accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, omissions, scope gaps, and potential project risks. Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed during the estimating and bidding process. Assist with project budgets, proposals, bid preparation, and value engineering alternatives. Coordinate with Sales, Preconstruction, Project Management, vendors, and manufacturers throughout the bidding process. Support turnover of awarded projects to the Preconstruction and Operations teams. Maintain accurate estimating records, pricing information, and project documentation. Manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For Commercial glass and glazing estimating experience required. Experience with storefront, curtain wall, commercial window systems, and/or architectural glass systems required. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing estimates from construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of commercial glazing materials, systems, manufacturers, and installation methods. Familiarity with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, estimating software, or similar construction technology. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to independently manage multiple bids, priorities, and deadlines in a remote work environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
