Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to collect and analyze data to support accurate project evaluation, pricing, and presentation of customer quotes across a wide range of products. This role partners closely with sales, customers, and industry partners to ensure competitive, compliant, and profitable project bids. This person will be required to travel across the state of Michigan to different commercial project sites. Day to
Day Responsibilities :
 Review construction documents to identify opportunities that best align company capabilities with customer needs.  Conduct risk analysis on prospective projects to determine feasibility, profitability, and alignment with company goals.  Collaborate with the outside sales team to evaluate project opportunities and recommend go/no-go decisions.  Perform detailed product take-offs based on blueprints and specifications, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes.  Coordinate with architects and contractors to resolve conflicts between plans, specifications, and building code requirements.  Develop comprehensive product lists for each project and work directly with manufacturers to obtain special or project-specific pricing.  Prepare detailed cost reports outlining material and labor expenses, and present findings to the sales team.  Create and assemble bid packages and supporting documentation for customer submission.  Support customers through project revisions, questions, and scope changes to ensure full understanding of proposals.  Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, subcontractors, and architects.  Deliver exceptional customer service while strengthening long-term professional relationships with contractors. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's or Associate degree (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience as a construction estimator or in a related role (preferably framing, windows, doors, knobs) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Strong understanding of estimating processes, research methodology, and data analysis. Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Willing to travel Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with doors and hardware
