In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Your expertise in construction estimating and strong negotiation skills will drive the company's growth and reputation for excellence. Duties Develop detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate favorable terms. Prepare and present bid proposals that align with project scope, budget constraints, and client expectations. Conduct thorough cost analysis, including material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure competitive yet profitable bids. Manage the entire estimating process from initial review through final submission, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist in scope development for projects by reviewing contracts and technical documents to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Support project management teams during project execution by providing cost control insights and assisting with contract negotiations. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within a general contracting environment, with a strong understanding of various construction sectors such as commercial, industrial, or institutional projects. Proficiency in estimating software. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to secure favorable pricing and terms. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle from bidding through completion. Hands-on construction site experience is preferred to better understand on-the-ground realities influencing estimates. Strong background in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management practices to ensure profitable project delivery.
