Spanaway, WA Full-Time Compensation:
DOE Join a Growing Family-Owned Electrical Company Kurkov Electric is a growing, family-owned electrical contractor serving residential and commercial customers throughout Pierce, Thurston, and South King County. We're looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator who wants to be more than just another employee in a large company. We're building our team intentionally and looking for key players who want to grow with us, help improve our systems, and have a real impact on where the company goes next. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the trades, communicates well with customers, knows how to put together accurate and profitable estimates, and enjoys helping turn opportunities into projects. Commercial and Residential Electrical Sales experience is important for this position. Experience with plumbing and/or HVAC is a strong plus as we want to move in the home services direction eventually. What You'll Do Meet with residential and commercial customers to evaluate upcoming projects and determine scope of work. Prepare accurate estimates using labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor/vendor pricing, and project requirements. Estimate projects including service upgrades, electrical panels, EV chargers, generators, dedicated circuits, remodels, troubleshooting-related repairs, commercial work, and other electrical projects. Review plans, photos, site conditions, specifications, and customer requests to determine project requirements. Present estimates and project options clearly and professionally to customers. Follow up on outstanding estimates and help move qualified opportunities toward sold work. Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain current material and equipment pricing. Work closely with ownership, office staff, and field electricians to make sure sold projects are properly handed off and scheduled. Identify potential scope gaps, change-order opportunities, permitting considerations, and jobsite challenges before work begins. Maintain organized estimating notes and customer information in company systems. Help us improve estimating, pricing, sales, and operational processes as the company continues to grow. Who We're Looking For Electrical trade and estimating experience is required. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential and/or commercial electrical systems and can confidently walk a project, identify what needs to be done, and translate that into a clear and profitable estimate. You should be comfortable working with customers, reading plans and specifications when applicable, calculating labor and material requirements, working with vendors, using Jobber and GoHighLevel, and staying organized while managing multiple active opportunities. Because this position involves traveling to customer properties and job sites throughout our service area, driving is an essential function of the role. The Person Who Will Thrive Here We're a small company, which means every person matters. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates when something needs attention, follows through on commitments, and isn't afraid to help build better processes when they see an opportunity. You won't be stepping into a position where you're expected to simply follow the same system for the next ten years. We're growing, improving, and building those systems now. If you're looking for an opportunity where you can bring your experience to the table, work directly with ownership, help shape a growing company, and grow professionally as the business expands, we'd like to meet you. About Kurkov Electric Kurkov Electric is a locally owned and family-operated electrical contractor serving homeowners, businesses, contractors, and property managers throughout Western Washington.
