PAY RANGE
$75,000 - 85,000 annually
SHIFT:
This is Monday through Friday, weekends as needed for business needs, notably during snow season if necessary. This is a hybrid role with the person being located in the Northeast Region to visit branch sites.
ROLE SUMMARY
Riverview Landscapes is seeking a Landscape Construction Estimator to join our growing team. Operating in the Construction branch of the company, the Landscape Construction Estimator will prepare accurate, timely and cost-effective estimates for commercial projects in landscape construction under the direction of the Construction Branch Manager. This role will review project documentation, including blueprints, contracts and specifications, while also analyzing pricing to provide accurate rates to clients. This role will frequently utilize Aspire, our contract management software. This role will work mostly from the office with occasional onsite visits with a company vehicle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation:
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, specifications, and CAD drawings.
Large-Scale Construction Experience:
Proven estimating experience on large construction and landscape projects valued at $500,000+.
Estimating & Material Sourcing:
Ability to accurately quantify labor, materials, equipment, and other project costs, as well as source materials, plants, and subcontractor services.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure estimates are accurate and complete. Attention to
Detail:
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential cost issues.
Deadline Driven:
Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet tight bid and proposal deadlines.
Software Proficiency:
Experience with estimating and project management software; Aspire experience is a plus.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain estimates, assumptions, and pricing.
Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of construction methods, materials, labor requirements, and project sequencing. Manage or help perform seasonal snow jobs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree or higher education 1-3 years as landscape/construction estimator 1-3 years operation manager of landscape construction crews Experience with contract management software; Aspire preferred Aptitude for construction methods, materials, codes and regulations Strong analytical and mathematical skills
