Job Title:
Mechanical Process Piping Estimator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Piping Estimator with expertise in MEP, cost consulting, and quantity surveying. The role involves using Excel for pricing and takeoffs, typically done in BlueBeam or 3D modeling, to handle heavy process piping scopes. Responsibilities Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity takeoffs using plans, specifications, or conceptual information. Review, interpret, and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents. Apply unit costs and productivity rates as provided by the supervisor. Develop and nurture subcontractor and client relationships. Prepare subcontractor analysis sheets for the assigned scope of work. Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates. Provide expertise in all phases of construction work. Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by the supervisor. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Process Piping or MEP, ideally within semiconductor construction. Proven estimating experience in high-tech construction. Advanced skill level with Excel and strong proficiency in Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook. Intermediate knowledge of On Screen Takeoff estimating software and Success Estimating Software is a plus. Must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of IPD/lean construction methodology and tools. Experience with fast-paced, high-volume commercial construction projects. Work Environment This position is hybrid, based in Chandler, AZ, and involves supporting the Intel project. The role requires being onsite at the Intel campus approximately three days a week, with the remaining days spent working remotely. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Oswego, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
