Job Title:
Project Estimator - position is remote but you MUST live in Michigan Job Description We are seeking a Project Estimator to join our team on a contract-to-direct basis. This position involves developing and reviewing capital, construction, and service cost estimates across various market sectors, primarily focusing on the power/utility industry. Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates. Work on estimates for planning, evaluation/study, or proposal comparison purposes. Demonstrate the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications for cost estimates. Ensure completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters. Coordinate with design and construction staff to gather estimate scope and schedule data. Perform other duties as needed. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience. Fundamental knowledge of General Contracting, EPC construction methods, and industry practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cost estimating/project control software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certifications such asAEP, CCT, CEP, CACM, CMIT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, EIT.
Proficiency in estimating software like Sage, Assemble, RS Means. Experience in the construction industry, particularly in Waste, Power, or Industrial sectors. Ability to interpret construction schedules. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Work EnvironmentMUST LIVE IN MICHIGAN
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $82.11/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
