Job Description

Overview First this is a 100% remote position. We currently have 6 administrators, 7 w-2 installers and a large team of W-9 subcontractors we employ to complete out remodel jobs. Join our dynamic team as a Remodeling Estimating and Purchasing Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in driving successful renovation projects from initial concept through material procurement. This energetic position offers the opportunity to leverage your construction industry expertise, technical skills, and negotiation prowess to deliver exceptional results. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing purchasing processes, and ensuring seamless communication between clients, suppliers, and project teams. Responsibilities Review scope of work from our sales team to interpret project scope and material requirements. Develop detailed estimates for remodeling projects Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing on materials and services, maintaining strong vendor relationships. Manage the procurement process by creating purchase orders, and ordering all materials needed for projects. Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and construction teams to review blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and adjust estimates as needed. Monitor material costs regularly to identify potential savings opportunities and mitigate budget overruns through effective cost management strategies. Qualifications Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the remodeling or commercial construction industry. Strong proficiency with computers including schedule, word processor, spreadsheets, excel, and apps for estimation and ordering Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Knowledge of construction drawing review, cost control techniques, and estimating construction project budgets. Construction site experience coupled with a solid background in construction management practices. Ability to communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and internal teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in pricing strategies and material cost estimating. $25.00 - $32.17 per hour
