In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive roofing project estimates for commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will help drive project success by ensuring precise cost analysis, material requirements, and bid submissions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with clients, project managers, and suppliers to deliver high-quality roofing solutions that meet budget and timeline expectations. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately interpret project scope and requirements. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to develop detailed cost estimates for roofing projects. Calculate material quantities, labor costs, equipment needs based on blueprint analysis and site conditions. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include pricing strategies, cost management plans, and detailed breakdowns of estimated expenses. Collaborate with clients to discuss project scope, negotiate pricing terms, and clarify project expectations to secure competitive bids. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate material costs and lead times, supporting effective material requirement planning. Conduct site visits when necessary to gather additional information for precise estimation and to verify site conditions impacting costs. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, correspondence, and project documentation for future reference. Skills Proficiency interpreting technical drawings. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members. Experience using construction estimating software for detailed cost analysis. Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets for building project budgets. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings related to roofing systems. Skilled in estimating material requirements from blueprints and managing construction project budgets efficiently. Deep understanding of construction industry standards, contracts, cost control measures, and material cost estimating techniques. Construction site experience that provides insight into real-world project challenges affecting costs and scheduling. Strong background in estimating construction projects with a focus on roofing solutions.
