The company primarily supports industrial clients in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Kentucky, while coordinating shipments throughout the United States. SEMCOR works with leading, innovative suppliers to provide fluoropolymer (PTFE) lined pipe and fittings, valves, valve automation, industrial hose, conveyor belting, expansion joints, etc. Its products are used in chemical processing, food manufacturing, utilities, mining, sanitary processes, and general industry. Customers rely on SEMCOR for extensive inventory, strong technical expertise, broad fabrication capabilities, and highly responsive service when solving material and fluid movement challenges. Role Description The Salesperson-Industrial Products role is a full-time hybrid position based in either Kansas City or Springfield, MO, with work-from-home flexibility. This role focuses on identifying and developing new industrial accounts while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers across key sectors such as chemical processing, food manufacturing, utilities, and general industry. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting conducting customer visits and calls, understanding technical requirements, recommending appropriate products and solutions, preparing quotations, and managing the sales cycle from initial contact through order fulfillment. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams on inventory, pricing, and delivery, providing product training and support to customers, and staying informed about supplier offerings and industry trends. The Salesperson is expected to deliver consistent, professional customer service and contribute to sales growth and profitability targets. Qualifications Strong sales skills with experience in industrial or technical product environments, including prospecting, account management, and closing deals. Customer Service and Interpersonal Communication skills to build trust, respond to inquiries, and support long-term client relationships. Clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting solutions, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Training or coaching abilities to explain product features, applications, and best practices to customers and team members. Great technical aptitude and willingness to learn about industrial hose, valves, valve automation, piping, fittings, conveyor belting, among others. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously. Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., CRM tools, email, spreadsheets) for tracking opportunities and maintaining accurate records. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally (~200 mi radius) for customer visits and industry events. Previous experience in industrial distribution, or a related field is preferred; an associate or bachelor's degree in business, engineering is a plus.

$80,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
