Office-Based About the Position We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Xactimate Estimator / Roofing & Construction Office Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate roofing and construction estimates, working with insurance claims, communicating with customers and insurance professionals, and helping move projects from initial inspection through completion. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of the roofing and construction industry , understands how insurance restoration projects work, and is comfortable using Xactimate to create detailed, professional estimates. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands both the construction side and the office side of roofing and wants to play an important role in the growth and organization of a roofing company. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed roofing and construction estimates using Xactimate Review inspection reports, measurements, photos, and scope of work Build accurate scopes for roof replacements, repairs, siding, gutters, interior damage, and other construction-related work Review insurance estimates and compare scopes, quantities, pricing, and line items Assist with insurance supplements and additional work documentation Communicate with insurance adjusters, homeowners, project managers, and subcontractors Review job photos and documentation to ensure all necessary work is included Identify missed or overlooked items in estimates Maintain organized project files and documentation Assist production and sales teams with estimating and project preparation Track projects and follow up on outstanding estimates, supplements, and approvals Help ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and profitable Stay current with roofing materials, construction practices, and insurance restoration procedures Perform general office and administrative duties related to construction projects
Qualifications Required:
Experience with Xactimate Knowledge of roofing and/or residential construction Strong understanding of construction terminology and estimating Excellent attention to detail Strong computer skills Ability to read and understand scopes of work Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Professional and organized approach to customer and insurance communication
Preferred:
Previous experience as an Xactimate estimator Roofing estimating experience Insurance restoration experience Experience writing supplements Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters Knowledge of Symbility/Cotality is a plus Experience with roof measurements and aerial reports Experience with residential remodeling or general construction What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who knows construction , not just someone who knows how to enter numbers into Xactimate.
