Commercial Acoustical Ceiling EstimatorJob Description We are a growing company with years of experience installing top-quality acoustical ceiling systems for commercial projects, along with select residential work. We are currently seeking a professional, experienced Commercial Acoustical Ceiling Estimator to fill an immediate full-time position. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of estimating experience in the commercial construction industry, specifically related to acoustical ceilings and specialty ceiling systems. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can manage day-to-day estimating operations while working closely with general contractors, vendors, and project teams to develop accurate and competitive bids. Responsibilities Review bid instructions, architectural drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare complete and accurate bid proposals for General Contractors. Perform detailed material with our take-offs software. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and bid packages for commercial construction projects. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain current pricing and product information. Communicate effectively with General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff throughout the bidding process. Follow up on all submitted estimates and proposals in a timely and professional manner. Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and organization. Maintain updated spreadsheets, bid logs, and estimating records. Analyze project scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Assist with project turnover documentation upon award of contracts. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of estimating experience in commercial construction. Experience with acoustical ceilings and related systems preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications. Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
