Senior Estimator - Commercial Walls & Ceilings and Specialty Cladding Freedom Interiors Group | Greenville, South Carolina Full-Time | In-Office / Local Position Freedom Interiors Group is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong commercial drywall and metal framing background who can step in and contribute immediately. This is not an entry-level estimating position, and it is not a general construction estimating role. We are specifically looking for someone with significant experience estimating commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and related wall and ceiling systems who is highly proficient with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid and/or BuzzBid . Our ideal candidate has spent years estimating this work, understands how it is actually built in the field, and can independently take a commercial project from bid invitation through final proposal and scope review. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who can communicate well with prospective clients, clearly explain scope, identify risk and opportunity, and build relationships with the general contractors we serve. What You'll Do You'll own estimates from start to finish, including: Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid requirements Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and/or BuzzBid Build complete estimates based specific industry items using Quick Bid and/or BuzzBid Estimate commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, exterior framing/sheathing, and related scopes Assist with estimating architectural and specialty cladding systems, including MCM, fiber cement, IMP, and related exterior systems Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Identify scope gaps, conflicts, project risks, and value-engineering opportunities Prepare clear proposals, qualifications, exclusions, and clarifications Review estimates with leadership prior to submission Communicate with prospective clients regarding scope, pricing, clarifications, and opportunities Follow up with general contractors after bid Participate in scope reviews and project negotiations Build relationships that create repeat opportunities with our clients Create clean project turnover packages for Operations Manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously Help improve our estimating standards, database, systems, and processes What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can estimate—not someone we need to teach how to estimate.

Strong candidates will have:

5+ years of commercial drywall and metal framing estimating experience Significant experience working for a commercial drywall, walls & ceilings, or specialty subcontractor Advanced working knowledge of OST and Quick Bid and/or BuzzBid software Strong understanding of commercial construction documents and specifications Experience independently estimating projects from complete plan sets Strong understanding of labor productivity, material pricing, assemblies, and construction methods Ability to identify scope, risk, and opportunities that others may miss Experience communicating and negotiating with general contractors Ability to confidently participate in scope reviews and explain an estimate Strong organizational and follow-through skills Professional written and verbal communication A track record of producing accurate, competitive, profitable, and buildable estimates Experience with acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, exterior framing, sheathing, MCM, fiber cement, IMP, or other architectural cladding systems is a plus.
