Greenlee Construction is a growing commercial general contractor based in North Charleston. We self-perform carpentry, run a zero-recordable safety record, and take on commercial tenant fit-outs, large residential renovations, ground-up commercial, and water line/utility work. We're looking for a Senior Estimator who owns their numbers and can stand behind them. What you'll do Produce complete, accurate estimates across commercial fit-outs, ground-up, renovations, and utility/water line work Perform your own quantity takeoffs and know exactly where every number comes from — you can walk any bid line by line and defend it Solicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes Read and fully comprehend drawings, specs, and scopes — catching what isn't drawn (demo, code-driven scope, exclusions), not just what is Run preliminary budgets to screen jobs early for fit, feasibility, and bonding capacity Manage bid schedules — send clean, complete bid invitations with correct scopes to the right subs, with clear due dates Own bids from invitation through submission and support the team through buyout What we're looking for Proven senior-level estimating experience in commercial construction; utility/water line experience a strong plus You own your work — you don't lean on software to think for you, and you can explain and defend every number Strong local subcontractor and supplier relationships in the Charleston/Lowcountry market Fluency with estimating and takeoff software; JobTread experience a plus (we'll train the right person) Sharp on drawings, scopes, and the details that turn a bid into a profitable job Reliable, professional, and takes direction well in a small, tight-knit team Why Greenlee Established, growing GC with a strong local reputation and a clean safety record Real ownership of your role — your work directly drives what we win Small team where you're a key player, not a number Greenlee Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
