Full-Time An established and growing construction company in the Knoxville area is seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in Xactimate, residential construction, and insurance-related property claims . This position is ideal for someone who understands construction, can accurately translate scopes and field conditions into detailed estimates, and knows how to properly document insurance-related repairs. The Estimator will work closely with project management and production staff to develop accurate estimates, identify missing or incomplete scope items, prepare supplements, and help move projects from initial assessment through completion. Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using Xactimate Review project scopes, field documentation, photographs, measurements, and insurance estimates Evaluate estimates for missing, incorrect, or incomplete line items Prepare estimate revisions and insurance supplements Document scope and pricing in a clear, defensible manner Communicate professionally with homeowners, insurance adjusters, project managers, and other involved parties Assist project managers with estimating questions and scope clarification Maintain organized and complete estimating documentation Manage multiple active estimates and priorities Follow projects as needed to ensure the written estimate accurately reflects the work being performed Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on Xactimate estimating experience Strong working knowledge of residential construction Experience with restoration, reconstruction, remodeling, or insurance-related repairs preferred Familiarity with insurance claim estimating and supplement processes Ability to understand construction sequencing, labor, materials, and building components Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while also supporting a team Organized and capable of managing multiple estimates simultaneously Dependable and professional What We Offer Full-time, stable position Established and growing local company Consistent workflow Supportive, team-oriented environment Clear responsibilities and expectations Opportunity to have a meaningful role in project success Long-term growth opportunity for the right person We are looking for someone who is more than a data-entry estimator.
