Senior Electrical Estimator Knoxville, TN | Hybrid | Full-Time $90,000-$115,000 annually A growing electrical construction organization is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join its team. This position will play a key role in developing competitive and accurate estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate understands electrical construction from both a technical and practical perspective and can evaluate a project from the plans and specifications through the bidding process. What You'll Do Analyze construction plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine electrical project requirements. Develop complete project estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Complete detailed electrical quantity takeoffs and ensure estimates accurately reflect the project scope. Use estimating platforms such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop and prepare bids. Obtain, compare, and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and established electrical estimating practices throughout the estimating process. Work closely with project managers and construction teams to make sure estimates align with project budgets, schedules, and execution plans. Assist with reviewing contracts, clarifying scope, identifying potential risks, and addressing issues that could affect project profitability. Contribute to large-scale electrical construction projects across commercial and industrial environments. Help ensure projects are estimated accurately while maintaining the company's standards for quality, safety, and financial performance. What We're Looking For Proven experience estimating electrical construction projects, particularly within commercial or industrial environments . Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, construction practices, and applicable NEC standards. Ability to interpret electrical plans, specifications, and technical drawings. Experience completing detailed takeoffs and developing labor and material pricing. Proficiency with HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or comparable estimating software . Strong vendor and subcontractor negotiation skills. Understanding of project management, contracts, cost control, and construction processes. Hands-on electrical or field construction experience is strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and internal construction teams. Experience working on larger-scale construction projects is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and analytical skills.
