Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Construction/Project Estimator and play a pivotal role in driving successful project outcomes through accurate and comprehensive cost analysis. In this energetic position, you'll be the cornerstone of project planning, collaborating closely with project managers and subcontractors to develop precise estimates that align with project goals. Your expertise will ensure competitive pricing as well as estimating projects within in the Xactimate program for insurance projects. Duties Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using Xactimate Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments that optimize project budgets. Develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure competitive bidding. Review and interpret construction contracts, scope of work, and project schedules to align estimates with project requirements. Assist in value engineering efforts by identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Maintain organized records of all estimating activities, bid submissions, and contract documents for transparency and future reference. Skills Proficiency in Xactimate a must Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining quality standards. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and safety protocols gained through hands-on construction site experience. Expertise in cost control techniques to monitor budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams including project managers, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
