Job Description

Day & Zimmermann is currently seeking an Estimator for full-time, long-term onsite position at TVA Watts Bar Nuclear in Spring City, TN. Position Summary Responsible for performing all aspects of estimating. Maintain selective estimating input to projects (change control) and interface with certain clients on estimating needs. At this level, minimal supervision is received and the individual , in turn, may provide some technical guidance to less experienced estimating personnel. Key Responsibilities Provide support and guidance for site Estimating personnel. Perform detailed quantity take off's from drawings. Assist with and troubleshoot field estimating issues. Produces total project cost estimates for client to support their allocation of budgets for expenses and capital projects. Determines labor hours and dollars for engineering, procurement, maintenance, modifications, and construction activities. Work with database on applying unit rates to direct work activities and interface with construction /operations on applying productivity factors and input on indirect construction/operations costs. Experience & Education Three plus years experience in related estimating assignments. Some college or post secondary education preferred or minimum of three years related experience in a construction environment. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $97,850 - $160,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
