//www.dxpe.com/about-us/careers/ Summary Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Professional is responsible for developing strategic account plans, maintaining accurate sales forecasts, and growing a designated sales territory. This role requires building strong customer relationships, proactively resolving customer challenges, identifying new business opportunities, and providing value-added solutions that align with customer objectives. The Sales Professional is expected to meet or exceed sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service and routinely demonstrating cost savings and process improvements for customers. Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to: Develop strategic sales plans and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and proactively resolve customer concerns. Develop and manage the assigned territory, including Abilene and surrounding areas. Grow and maintain both new and existing customer accounts. Stay current on industry trends, products, services, and technologies related to the various product lines represented by DXP. Identify and pursue new sales and service opportunities within the territory. Provide solutions to customer challenges utilizing DXP's products and services. Understand customer business objectives, supply chain initiatives, and long-term goals to proactively recommend solutions. Establish, develop, and expand relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations. Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, objectives, new product initiatives, and customer retention targets. Prepare routine cost savings reports and, when possible, obtain customer validation of documented savings. Maintain strong process discipline and accurate account management practices. Provide monthly key account reports highlighting: Customer projects and initiatives Service issues and resolutions Competitive challenges Changes within customer organizations Cost savings and value-added accomplishments Qualifications Qualifications of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to: Minimum of 5 years of successful outside sales experience selling industrial products, services, or related solutions. Strong customer service orientation and commitment to customer success. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience developing proposals and presenting solutions to customers. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Proven ability to develop long-term customer relationships and generate repeat business. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with company guidelines.
