Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems on commercial construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure project bids are competitive yet profitable, supporting the successful delivery of high-quality HVAC solutions. Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine HVAC system requirements. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools such as Procore to develop detailed cost proposals. Accurately estimate material quantities and costs by analyzing blueprints and technical drawings. Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenses, and ensuring estimates align with project scope. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Prepare comprehensive bid packages that include detailed scopes of work, pricing summaries, and supporting documentation. Review contracts and ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. Use spreadsheets and estimating templates to organize data efficiently and facilitate clear communication of project costs. Conduct site visits when necessary to gather additional information on existing conditions or material requirements. Monitor ongoing project costs to support cost management efforts and identify potential overruns early.

There is no annual cap on this bonus. Experience Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Strong proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other construction management tools. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans. Demonstrated ability in cost control, material cost estimating, and estimating construction project budgets accurately. Familiarity with construction site operations, safety standards, contracts management, and client communication strategies. Experience in estimating for HVAC systems specifically within commercial projects is highly preferred. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for creating detailed spreadsheets and tracking estimates.
