Job Description

Overview:
Polk Mechanical is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead estimating operations, ensuring accurate bids, strong client relationships, and alignment with company growth strategies. This role oversees estimating processes, team performance, and bid strategy execution for our Pre-Construction department.
Responsibilities:
Oversee bid strategy, estimating processes, and department performance Review and approve major project estimates Lead project turnover to operations teams Develop relationships with clients and vendors Identify and pursue bid opportunities Monitor estimating metrics and performance goals Support contract negotiations and change orders Lead and develop estimating team members
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 8-10 years of estimating experience in mechanical construction Strong leadership and strategic thinking Expertise in estimating systems and construction contracts Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to analyze market conditions and trends
