JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION PURPOSE

The Service Estimator will work directly with the Estimating Department Lead. The position requires considerable knowledge of computer and software programs such as Excel, Adobe, Word, and Outlook. The Service Estimator's main responsibility is to review, finalize, create, and submit service repair proposals to clients on time. They will communicate directly with Partners and Clients across all states via phone calls, emails, and facility management portals. The Service Estimator must cross-train on all tasks within the Estimating Department to act as backup when needed. They may also be asked to perform general office support tasks when necessary. The Assistant Estimating Manager will coordinate and supervise these responsibilities/tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Average Percent of Time 70% Estimating, reviewing, finalizing, and submitting roofing service(s) proposals. This includes communicating with the contractor about any needed clarifications or revisions. Submission to the client or National Account Manager (NAM) via email or facility management portals. 20% Assist the department with day-to-day follow-up and tasks, reporting on daily or weekly submissions/open tasks, 10% Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities above.

• Support and participate in NRP Annual and Peer Group Meetings as they pertain to the estimating department.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Previous experience in the roofing industry. Hands-on Roofing experience / knowledge preferred
• Ability to maintain multiple lines of communication in different channels
• Willingness to engage clients in their preferred method of communication
• Ability to multitask on multiple projects and points of contact at once
• Ability to modify PDF assessment reports
• Ability to access and accurately input information using Excel
• Ability to access and accurately input information into Salesforce
• Must have considerable knowledge with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
• Ability to accurately work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have strong persistence and work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team. Including, but not limited to, assisting in areas outside of the direct job responsibilities, as needed
• Ability to track detailed information and coordinate work for clients and contractors
