Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
Duties:
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to provide accurate cost estimates
  • Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid to prepare detailed estimates
  • Conduct on-site visits to gather information for estimating purposes
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimates
  • Analyze and negotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective solutions
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
  • Prepare and submit bids and proposals for construction projects
Experience:
  • Proven experience in construction estimating, including knowledge of HeavyBid software
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
  • Ability to analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates
  • Proficiency in cost control and negotiation techniques
  • Knowledge of construction management and project management principles
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam software is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills This position offers competitive compensation based on experience.
