Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support APQP and PPAP activities by preparing quality documentation, coordinating customer submissions, performing dimensional layouts, maintaining IMDS entries, and assisting with periodic product revalidations. Your attention to detail, technical understanding, and ability to collaborate with quality, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers will help ensure accurate documentation, timely approvals, and compliance with customer requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your quality experience and contribute to successful product launches within an automotive manufacturing environment. $20.00 an hour
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations based on specifications, drawings, and project requirements Gather technical, material, and pricing information needed to complete quotation packages Collaborate with sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to clarify requirements and confirm feasibility Review blueprints, material specifications, and customer documentation for completeness Track open questions, samples, testing requirements, and quotation deadlines through completion Process and maintain Purchase Orders, Engineering Change Notices, and supporting quote documentation Support tooling validation and respond to customer or sales inquiries related to tooling information Maintain accurate quotation records and recommend improvements to the quoting process Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in quoting, estimating, sales support, customer service, or manufacturing preferred Basic ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or product specifications preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel Familiarity with manufacturing, extrusion, fabrication, material testing, or quality systems is a plus but not required Willingness to learn technical products, customer requirements, and internal quoting processes Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams English communication skills required; bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred Ability to perform job duties requiring extended computer use and periods of sitting or standing, occasional movement throughout office and manufacturing areas, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing 25-50 lbs. as needed
