Summary:
The Junior Laboratory Estimator supports the estimating team by assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for lab furniture and facility projects. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow in technical estimating within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in reviewing drawings and specifications Perform basic quantity takeoffs and data entry Help prepare pricing sheets and scope summaries Communicate with vendors for quotes and lead times Support proposal development and bid submissions Maintain organized project files and documentation
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in estimating or construction (internships welcome) Ability to read basic blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and math skills Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam or AutoCAD is a plus Eagerness to learn lab-specific standards (GMP, BSL, etc.)
