For more than 35 years, leading technology companies have trusted NetVia for time-critical, high-performance PCB solutions. In 2019, NetVia became part of Epec Engineered Technologies, continuing a legacy of excellence that spans over 70 years. As one of North America's oldest PCB production companies, Epec's history is deeply rooted in the evolution of printed circuit board manufacturing and the electronics industry. About the Role The PCB Quotation Specialist plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely pricing for printed circuit board fabrication. In this position, you'll review customer design data and specifications and translate them into precise quotes within our quoting and ERP systems. Acting as the technical and commercial bridge between Customers, Sales, Engineering/CAM, and Operations, your attention to detail will directly impact pricing accuracy, lead times, and customer satisfaction. No prior PCB experience is required—we provide comprehensive training on PCB fundamentals, file formats, and internal quoting workflows. Candidates with experience in PCB sales, production planning, CAM, or quality control are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Receive, log, and manage incoming RFQs from customers, sales representatives, and distribution partners via email, customer portals, and EDI. Review complete customer data packages, including Gerber (RS‑274X/D), ODB++, IPC‑2581 files; mechanical drawings (DWG/DXF/STEP/PDF); fabrication notes; BOMs; and applicable standards (IPC‑A‑600, IPC‑6012, UL, RoHS, ITAR/EAR). Extract and enter board‑level attributes into the quoting system, such as dimensions, layer counts, materials, copper weights, surface finishes, soldermask, drill requirements, impedance controls, panelization, and testing requirements. Identify IPC performance class (Class 2 vs. Class 3/3A) and determine industry‑specific compliance needs (medical, automotive AEC‑Q, aerospace
AS9100, MIL
‑PRF‑31032, ITAR, UL). Open and review Gerber/ODB++ files using CAM or viewer software (CAM350, Genesis 2000, UcamX, GC‑Prevue, ViewMate, IGI, Altium Viewer) to verify features when documentation is incomplete. Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential DFM concerns, and communicate clear, professional clarification requests to customers. Collaborate with Engineering/CAM, Planning, and Purchasing teams when quotes involve non‑standard materials, tight tolerances, or special processes. Apply pricing rules, lead‑time matrices, quantity breaks, tooling costs, and non‑recurring engineering (NRE) fees to prepare formal customer quotes. Maintain RFQ logs and follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries. Ensure customer part records, revision history, and quote‑to‑order linkage are accurately maintained in CRM and ERP systems. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or business discipline preferred. 1-3 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, order entry, or estimating—ideally within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Prior PCB‑related experience (sales/CSR, quoting, CAM, planning, fabrication, assembly, or quality control) is a strong plus and may offset other experience requirements. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications; GD&T familiarity is a plus. Exposure to Gerber/ODB++ viewers or PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence Allegro, KiCad, Mentor PADS) preferred but not required. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills, with the ability to ask precise clarifying questions. Proven ability to manage a high volume of RFQs in a deadline‑driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, lookups, and basic data analysis). Experience with CRM, ERP, or quoting systems preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus. Join us at Netvia Group an Epec Company, where your expertise will help shape innovative solutions in electronics manufacturing. We're committed to supporting your growth through a collaborative environment that values your contributions every step of the way!
