The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge on all aspects of civil construction including; cement powder, aggregates, redi mix plant operations, piling, and material handling in both inland and marine environments.

Responsibilities:
Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to understand project scope and requirements Scouting project sites for detailed logistics planning and mobilization sites. Performing quantity take-offs and calculating labor, material, and equipment costs Preparing lump sum and unit rate cost estimates Identifying "high risk" areas within the bid and conducting risk assessments Working with suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure a complete scope has been identified Utilizing estimating software and industry best practices to produce accurate an comprehensive estimates Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Build trust and work within a small team environment Ability to professionally communicate with potential clients
Key Skills:
Analytical skills to perform detailed cost analysis, risk assessment and problem solving Software proficiency with estimating tools such as
TEAMS, RIB
Construction Suite or other industry-standard software Clear and concise communication skills
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent, Minimum of 10 yrs of experience or equivalent in related field Ability to perform advanced calculations and interpret technical data Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of safety practices Valid drivers license Ability to travel
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree within an Engineering discipline. Large Project Estimating Experience Experience with Primavera scheduling software Project controls experience
Work Environment:
Work performed in office, at plant and job site locations Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and active construction environments Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment Required use of
PPE Pay:
$85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
