Chief Estimator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Estimator to lead our estimating department with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and comprehensive bids that align with company goals. Your expertise will drive project success from the initial concept through detailed cost analysis, fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellence in construction estimating. Duties Lead the development of detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents to produce accurate cost projections. Utilize industry-standard estimating software such as Aspire, Bluebeam and OST to prepare comprehensive bid packages efficiently. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Conduct thorough negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Oversee cost control measures throughout the bidding process and project execution to ensure profitability and budget adherence. Review contracts and scope of work to identify potential risks or discrepancies that could impact project costs or timelines. Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating team, fostering continuous improvement in estimating techniques and practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction methods, market trends, and material costs to ensure estimates reflect current conditions. Support project management teams during contract negotiations and project planning phases to facilitate seamless project execution. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in site & commercial landscape projects. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, site management, and cost control strategies. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to achieve favorable terms. Strong understanding of construction contracts, scope development, and project management principles. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and team collaboration. Pay:

$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
