Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, well connected, and energetic Water Well Project Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finding projects, accurately estimating costs and preparing bids for water well projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. Your expertise in construction estimating, project management, and blueprint review will be essential to successfully manage project budgets from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital construction projects and work with a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in the construction industry. Responsibilities Review technical specs/drawings, blueprints, and construction plans related to water well projects to interpret material requirements and project scope. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and other direct costs Develop accurate project budgets and manage cost control throughout the bidding process and project execution. Negotiate pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive rates while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to understand project specifications, scope changes, and contractual obligations. Assist in managing project timelines, contracts, and change orders to ensure projects stay within budget and schedule parameters. Requirements Proven experience estimating and managing projects as an estimator within the water well or similar construction industry. Strong proficiency in estimating utilizing Microsoft Excel and PDF's Excellent skills in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans. Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, and estimating construction project budgets accurately. Effective negotiation skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favorable pricing agreements. Construction site experience combined with a solid understanding of contracts, project management principles, and construction safety standards. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
