Job Description

The Single-Family Estimating Department is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estimating Coordinator / Intake Specialist (Estimator 1) to support our residential truss estimating operations throughout the West Region. This position plays a critical role in reviewing and qualifying incoming bid and permit requests, ensuring complete and accurate project information, coordinating workflow activities, and supporting scheduling efforts for the design team.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and qualify incoming bid and permit requests. Verify plans and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy. Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, Design, and Administrative teams to obtain missing information and move projects through the workflow. Enter and maintain project data in company systems. Support scheduling activities and monitor request status. Assist with process documentation, SOP updates, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide backup support for other coordinators and key departmental functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and follow-through. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems. Experience reviewing construction plans or working in estimating, construction, design, or project coordination is a plus.
