Job Description
Williams Electric & HVAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We are a commercial and industrial electrical contractor specializing in light industrial, healthcare, municipal, warehouse, manufacturing, and commercial construction projects throughout DFW. Our projects range from tenant finish-outs to multimillion-dollar facilities. We focus on quality, technical expertise, strong project execution, and building long-term relationships with our customers. You will work closely with company leadership, project managers, field operations, vendors, and customers to develop competitive and profitable estimates. Responsibilities Prepare complete electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents Build estimates using Accubid Anywhere Solicit, analyze, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotations Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, risks, and value engineering opportunities Prepare proposal letters, clarifications, exclusions, and scope summaries Participate in design-build budgeting and conceptual estimating Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel during estimate development Assist with project turnover meetings after award Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and pricing information Help improve estimating procedures and preconstruction processes Qualifications Required 5+ years of electrical estimating experience Experience estimating commercial or light industrial electrical projects Strong ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial electrical construction methods Experience preparing complete project estimates from bid documents Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency with Trimble Accubid Anywhere Preferred Experience with ConEst, McCormick, or similar electrical estimating software Design-build estimating experience Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Field experience as an electrician, foreman, or superintendent Industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or municipal project experience Compensation & Benefits $110,000 - $150,000 Base Salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Paid time off Health insurance options Company-paid training and professional development opportunities Long-term advancement opportunities Why Join Williams Electric & HVAC?
