Referral Bonus Incentive Project Estimator Details:
Contract to Hire position $40.00 to $45.00 /hour Salaried Review customer RFQs, specifications, drawings, P&IDs, and scope of work to determine project requirements. Develop detailed estimates for custom-fabricated process and production equipment, including pressure vessels, separators, skids, LACT units, gas measurement systems, VRUs, towers, and other packaged equipment. Estimate material, fabrication, engineering, machining, coating, testing, freight, and outside-service costs. Review equipment designs and fabrication requirements to identify the materials, components, labor, and processes Obtain and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing for pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, structural steel, piping, and other components. Work with engineering and drafting teams to clarify technical requirements Review pressure vessel and process equipment specifications, including applicable ASME and industry requirements. Support estimating for modular oil & gas equipment and tank battery solutions. Analyze customer specifications and identify potential cost, scope, material, or schedule impacts Coordinate with fabrication and operations teams to validate labor hours, manufacturing processes, and shop capabilities. Work with procurement to confirm current material costs, availability, and expected lead times. Maintain accurate estimating data, pricing, and project documentation within company systems.
Project Estimator Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in estimating, project engineering, applications engineering, fabrication, or a related industrial environment. Experience with oil & gas, process equipment, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, or industrial fabrication strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, fabrication drawings, equipment specifications, and technical documents. Understanding of mechanical equipment, piping, valves, pumps, vessels, structural components, and industrial fabrication processes. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
