Job Overview Diamond Fiberglass is seeking the role of a Project Estimator and Project Management Support. This role is responsible for assisting Sales and Project Managers with preparing estimates, bid documents, project management documents, as well as a wide array of other project management tasks to alleviate work load on project managers so they may focus on Sales tasks. Pay based on experience. Duties Estimating and Project Management Support may include, but not limited to the following duties: Review and analyze project specifications and drawings to provide accurate take-offs for projects. Use Estimating Program (excel based) to estimate shop labor, materials, third party buyout costs and other related equipment costs necessary to provide an accurate estimate of the fabricated equipment cost. Identify exceptions and clarifications to customer request for quotation documents and/or other bid documents. Collaborate with other teams to provide an accurate estimate. Use Estimating Program to generate and document a total estimate of timing and costs for fabricated equipment, including necessary alternatives to base bids Identify improvements to the pricing models Assists sales team in Bid/No Bid decisions Participate in estimate reviews with management / engineering. Assist Sales in determining need for change orders on existing projects. Develop expert knowledge of industry related specifications and fiberglass fabrication methods Meets bid deadlines for generating estimates Works with other teams to successfully execute projects Compile bid documents for creating on-time bids Compile project management documents as specific for each project Assist in miscellaneous project management task such as creating submittal documents, collecting quality assurance documents, pictures, tracking down receivables, etc. Assist Project Managers in managing customer project specific web-portals such as document compiling and uploading Assist in pre-production cost and hour analysis Assist in coordinating shipping of product Skills and Expectations Professional and Team Oriented Trustworthy and reliable Detail oriented, highly organized and process driven, analytical ability, critical thinking Responsive problem solver Self-Motivated and Results Driven Business writing skills and effective communicator Computer skills required (Microsoft 365 Suite, Excel, Word, Adobe pdf, Outlook, Web browsing, CRMs (Intuit Quickbase and Salesforce) Be able to work a minimum of a (40) hour work week (8am-5pm) in person, dependent on project work load Recommended Experience, but not required Industrial Business, sales or project estimation experience Sales Engineer, accounting, excel formulas and databases
