Job Description
This Lead Residential Landscape Estimator role focuses on analyzing and estimating residential landscaping design and installation projects. You'll drive the bidding strategy for the residential division while mentoring junior staff to ensure precise, profitable, and consistent proposals. Based in Eden, UT, this established landscaping contractor provides innovative outdoor solutions across the region. Responsibilities Drive the estimating process for residential landscape design and installation projects, performing precise take-offs and compiling comprehensive bid packages. Mentor and lead the Junior Estimator to ensure brand consistency and pricing accuracy within the residential design division. Negotiate with nurseries, seed suppliers, and equipment rental companies to secure highly competitive pricing. Conduct thorough on-site evaluations across Utah and neighboring states to assess terrain, soil conditions, and site access prior to bidding. Calculate material quantities and compile occasional bids for secondary reclamation, hydroseeding, and drill seeding projects based on soil requirements. Ensure all bids comply strictly with standards dictated by governing bodies, industry regulations, or the company. Requirements Possess 5+ years of estimating experience in landscaping or civil construction, ideally with a strong focus on residential design and installation projects. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as PropertyIntel or LMN, alongside strong Excel skills. Exhibit exceptional leadership capabilities to effectively manage and mentor junior estimating staff. Bring a foundational understanding of native Utah seed mixes, heavy equipment production rates, and reclamation techniques like hydroseeding. Hold knowledge of Utah S330 Landscaping Contractor license requirements and local compliance standards. Compensation & Benefits Salary starting between $75,000 - $90,000. Quarterly bonuses.
