Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Ski Tuner, where you'll be the expert behind ensuring every skier's equipment performs at its peak. This role involves meticulously tuning, repairing, and maintaining skis to deliver optimal performance on the slopes. Your expertise will directly impact the safety, enjoyment, and satisfaction of our passionate skiing community. Duties Perform detailed tuning and repair of skis, including edge sharpening, waxing, base repairs, and sidewall work to ensure top-tier performance. Service and inspect ski bindings for proper function. Conduct routine maintenance work on ski equipment, ensuring all gear meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring all necessary supplies are available for efficient workflow. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during mechanical assembly and repair tasks. Experience Proven service technician experience with mechanical systems repair or maintenance work is highly desirable. Previous tuning experience highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and POS (Point of Sale) systems in a retail setting. Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), mechanical assembly, and heavy lifting to handle various ski repair tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy seasons.
