We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team and help build the next stage of our estimating department. For this role, strong construction knowledge is more important to us than years of estimating experience . We're looking for someone who understands how projects come together, can read plans, visualize how something will be fabricated and installed, and recognize missing information or potential problems before they reach production. About the Role The Estimator will serve as an important link between Sales and Production , turning plans, specifications, measurements, photos and selections into accurate estimates and clearly defined scopes of work. Our projects are highly custom and may combine multiple scopes, including: Custom steel fabrication Architectural and structural steel Steel and wood stair systems Interior and exterior railings Wood treads, skirt boards and shoe plates Wood railings and finish carpentry Custom millwork Glass railing systems Gates and specialty architectural features This isn't repetitive estimating. Every project is different, and understanding how the work will actually be built is just as important as completing the takeoff. What You'll Do Review architectural and structural plans, specifications, measurements, photos, selections and project documents. Perform digital quantity and material takeoffs. Develop estimates for materials, fabrication, millwork, finishing, hardware, glass and installation labor. Evaluate construction sequencing, fabrication requirements, site conditions, installation access and coordination with surrounding construction. Identify missing information, scope gaps, conflicting details and potential risks. Clearly document quantities, assumptions, exclusions and open questions. Prepare scopes of work and proposal information for Sales. Work closely with Sales to clarify project requirements and keep estimates moving. Support a clean handoff to Production so the project being built reflects what was estimated and sold. Maintain estimating templates, pricing information and historical cost data. Help improve Titan's estimating systems and workflows as the department develops. What We're Looking For Construction experience and an understanding of building processes and sequencing. Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings. Ability to visualize how components will be fabricated, assembled and installed. Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail while still seeing the overall project. Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to identify problems, ask good questions and follow through. Clear written and verbal communication. Dependable, accountable and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team. Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets and learning new technology. Previous estimating experience is helpful but not required . Experience with fabrication, steel, stairs, railings, millwork, carpentry, glass or high-end construction is a plus. Experience with Bluebeam or another digital takeoff platform is also helpful but not required. The Person Who Will Thrive at Titan We aren't looking to simply fill a position. We want someone interested in building a long-term career with Titan . We're a close-knit team that values integrity, craftsmanship, accountability, communication and continuous improvement. You'll likely be a good fit if you: Take ownership of your work. Are proactive instead of waiting to be told every next step. Ask questions when something doesn't make sense. Enjoy solving problems and figuring out how things work. Are open to new technology and better ways of doing things. Care about the success of the team, not just your individual responsibilities. Want to learn, grow and take on greater responsibility over time. As Titan grows, we expect this role to grow with it. The person joining us now will have the opportunity to help shape our estimating processes and the future of the department. What Success Looks Like Success means more than getting estimates out the door.
It means:
Accurate, complete and timely estimates Clear scopes, assumptions and exclusions Missing information and potential problems identified early Better communication between Sales and Production Fewer surprises after a project is sold Consistent, organized estimating information Increasingly accurate labor and material forecasting Benefits & Perks Paid time off Paid holidays VASA Fitness membership Training and professional development Opportunities for career growth and increased responsibility Direct exposure to company leadership Unique, highly custom projects rather than repetitive production work Close-knit team environment Titan does not currently offer medical or dental insurance. We are actively evaluating opportunities to expand our employee benefits as the company grows. Interested? If you understand construction, enjoy solving problems and want to use that knowledge to help plan and price unique custom projects, we'd like to meet you.
