Beacon Commercial Door & Lock is a leading supplier of commercial doors, frames and hardware for new construction projects, providing products to clients nationwide. Beacon has been experiencing steady growth, and we are seeking talented individuals who are willing to join our team, invest in learning about the industry and moving up within our company.
Job Description:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Contract Detailer to join our team in South Salt Lake, UT. The Contract Detailer position is responsible for reviewing architectural blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements for our Contract department. This position works closely with our estimating and project management teams to ensure a project's details are presented clearly to the general contractor in a submittal package for their review. Much of the work consists of reviewing the plans with a technical mindset and entering each door opening's details into computer software to prepare the project's submittal package. Training will be provided for this position. Knowledge of the commercial construction industry or experience with reviewing plans and specifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements. Prepare submittals and shop drawings for doors, frames, and hardware on commercial construction projects and work with estimating on necessary changes to products and/or costs. Learn software system and company processes. Obtain extensive industry product knowledge. Able to work in a team setting and communicate effectively. Foster innovation, collaborate with others, solve problems, and demonstrate high integrity.
Qualifications:
High attention to detail and solid organization skills. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and fluid schedule. Team player with a positive go-getter attitude. Strong written and oral communication skills. Comfortable learning new computer software and has proficient computer knowledge and skills. Knowledge and experience within the commercial construction industry is a plus.

Monday-Thursday:
7:00 AM•5:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM•12:00 PM Starting pay: $40,000•$65,000, depending on experience
